Supernova sound was created by Matt Montgomery and David Cowell in 2019. With the idea of a recording studio that cares more about our client and what we are doing than just making money. Too often studios push you in and out and could care less about your project. We wanted to start a studio that cares as much about your project as you do! We put everything we got into your Music! In the end, our name is on it as well as yours. 

 

David has been on the recording scene for many years. He is one of the most in demand producers in the Memphis area, and received the 2019 Tennessee Music Award for Producer/Engineer of the year! His talents aren't limited to just the recording side either. He is an accomplished Singer, guitarist, and songwriter just to name a few. He has played on stage with several major acts in his time. He has a ear for good tones and ideas. David will go above and beyond to help you be the best you can be!

Matt has been playing guitar for more years than he wants to talk about. He is an avid collector of gear. (Hoarder) After years of collecting, he wanted to do more with his gear than just sit at his house. So he started Memphis Backline Rentals. He rented gear to anyone and everyone. As the studio came to fruition he moved his gear in and gave Supernova sound the massive amp collection that you can use to record with!
